The Ballroom Dance Club’s monthly dance is held the 2nd Friday night of each month at 7 pm in Abravanel Hall.  Doors open at 6:50.  If you are willing to have a marvelous evening spinning around a dance floor, or just listening to fantastic music while chatting with friends, then come to a Ballroom Dance.  Call Paul or Ana Yoshida (760)940-8871 and dance the night away with us.

Our dance attendees are urged to come to the concierge desk at 3 PM on the day of the dance to obtain their seating. Table selections from two to ten seats are readily available. Pre-selecting your tables and seats lets you avoid being caught in the jam at the door and having to wait for those who did not come early and are trying to figure out their seating.

Here are the dances your club has planned for 2012:

Every Wednesday from 2:30 to 4:00 your Ballroom Dance Club provides dance lessons that are free to all OHCC residents.  In addition, paid professional dance instructors are continuing their dance instructions every Monday afternoon starting at 4 PM. These are the same instructors that teach George and Miriam Mozes! The entrance fee into each of these lessons is $5 per club member, $5 for a club member’s escort, and $7 for all other resident, non-club member attendees.

Go to the “Lesson DVDs” page of this website at www.oceanhillsdanceclub.com to view the lesson promos. The lessons range from forty to sixty minutes and the suggested donation for each DVD is only $5! Leave a $5 check made payable to Joanne Harms at the Clubhouse front desk for “resident pickup” and Ms. Harms will contact you to arrange for delivery of your lesson DVD(s). Be sure to note on your check which DVD lesson(s) you are purchasing. Each lesson is on its own DVD.

The Ballroom Dance Club is open to all OHCC residents, but if you are not yet a member (the dues are only $6 per person) we invite you to peruse our website to see what you are missing, then contact Paul Yoshida (760-940-8871) and join, getting on our call list for your dance tickets. If you would prefer to have a look at the November dance first, then contact Ana Yoshida (760-940-8871) for tickets that are $10 for non-members, but only $8 for members, and their escort/date. Attend three dances and your membership has paid for itself in savings.  Both single ladies and single men most welcome.

Come for the fun, and stay for the dance!
